A jute plant

The jute plant is a kind of annual plant. It is a tall slender plant that grows mainly in Bangladesh. It grows from eight  to ten feet  high.  It has no branches. It has some small leaves that grow on the stem. The leaves are generally green in color. But some jute plants covered with a thick bark. It is called jute. The seeds of jute plant are sown after a heavy shower of rain. The seeds germinate very soon. In three or four months the plants are matured. They are then cut down, tied in bundles and allowed to rot in water. After a few days the rotten plants are taken up, and their fibres are separated from the stalks. The are then washed in water, dried in the sun and place in the market for sale.
